The State of Nevada requires a minimum
of 62 semester credits, with 6 semester credits in professional
education, or a bachelor’s degree or higher degree earned through a
regionally accredited college/university, to be eligible for a K-12
substitute license. The applicant for a substitute teaching license
should submit an application packet including the
Initial Licensure Application Form,
Child Support Form,
Fingerprinting Authorization Form,
official transcripts, two FD-258 blue and white fingerprint cards, and a
$161.00 fee (cashier's check or money orders only). The license will be issued for a
three-year period with the following provisions: Nevada School Law,
Nevada Constitution, U.S. Constitution, Fingerprint Background Check,
and Praxis I Testing. The license may be renewed if all these
provisions are cleared by the date of expiration listed on the license.

Nevada School Law (also satisfies the
Nevada School Law licensing requirement)
Military Science Department
Only courses that include leadership,
training, curriculum, methods, motivation, and /or guidance as verified
in the course descriptions may be considered.
