To receive an endorsement to teach computer applications, a person must have a valid elementary, middle school/junior high school, secondary or special teaching license (excluding Business and Industry and Special Qualifications) and have completed:

  1. Twelve (12) semester credits which must include the following:

  1. Educational issues relating to computers; and

  2. Methods for teaching the integration of technology with curriculum; and

  3. Methods for teaching computer applications or instruction in at least three of the following application packages:

  1. Productivity tools such as word processing, databases and spreadsheets;

  2. Communication tools;

  3. Research tools;

  4. Multimedia tools; or

  5. Other applications approved by the Board.
