Comprehensive Major

Thirty-six (36) semester hours of credit required for a major in Manufacturing Technology must include course work in each of the following:

1. Acetylene welding;

2. Electric arc welding;

3. Machine tool operation;

4. Metal fabrication-arc;

5. Metal fabrication;

6. Industrial metals;

7. Reading blueprints;

8. Basic metals;

9. Welding design and layout;

10. Inspection testing;

11. Advanced arc welding; and

12. GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding.

Comprehensive Minor

Twenty-four (24) semester hours of credit required for a minor in Manufacturing Technology must include course work in each of the following:

1. Acetylene welding;

2. Introduction to arc welding;

3. Basic metals;

4. Welding design and layout;

5. Reading blueprints;

6. Machine reading;

7. Metal fabrication; and

8. Inspection testing.
