Comprehensive Major

Thirty-six (36) semester hours of credit required for a major in Child Care must include course work in each of the following:

1. Child care and human development;

2. Child guidance;

3. Children and families;

4. Human sexuality;

5. Preschool administration;

6. Preschool curriculum and methods;

7. Nutrition for young children;

8. Family life; and

9. Preschool programs and staff organization.

Comprehensive Minor

Twenty-four (24) semester hours of credit required for a Minor in child care must include course work in each of the following:

1. Child care and human development;

2. Child guidance;

3. Children and families;

4. Human sexuality;

5. Preschool administration;

6. Preschool curriculum and methods; and

7. Nutrition for young children.
