The Nevada Office of Teacher Licensure’s priority is to
evaluate and process completed applications and issue
licenses in a timely manner. Processing time varies with
the time of the year and how complete the applications
are at the time they were received. Before you contact
us, please know that staff time to respond to emails and
phone calls is limited. Therefore, we urge you to check
out the resources on our website, 24 hours a day. As an
example, if you are seeking information about the status
of your license, you can go to
nvteachersearch.doe.nv.gov
to obtain the status of your license any time of the
day. For other licensure information, please go to our
website at
nvteachers.doe.nv.gov. The
Nevada Department of Education, Office of Teacher
Licensure has two locations:
Northern Office is located at
700 E. Fifth Street
Carson City, NV 89701-5096
Southern Office is located at
9890 S. Maryland Parkway
Suite 221, Room 234
Las Vegas, NV 89183
Both offices are open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

If you are seeking licensure information, we encourage
you to contact us via email. We will make every effort
to answer your questions within a 24-hour period.
However, depending on the magnitude of staff workloads
and the complexity of your request, it may take
additional time to provide you with an accurate
response.
The public assistance line is (702) 486-6458 and is
answered by staff Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m.
to 4:30 p.m. An immediate response to your questions is
contingent upon the availability of appropriate staff. |
